North Grosvenordale-Guy Toutant, 73, of Ravenelle Rd, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Westview Healthcare Center. Born in North Grosvenordale, he was the son of the late Conrad and Alice (Spenard) Toutant.
Mr. Toutant owned and operated the former Toutant Auto Body. He served in the National Guard. He belonged to the St. Bernard Council of the Knights of Columbus in North Grosvenordale and was a member of the Thompson Lions Club. He liked to fly, tend to his lawn, and putter around his house.
Guy is survived by his son, Bryan Toutant of Seattle, WA; his brothers, Roland Toutant and his wife Helene of Woodstock, CT, and Rene Toutant and his wife Janice of North Grosvenordale; his sisters, Giselle Cornell and her husband Angelo of Thompson, and Muriel Angelo and her husband Michael of Preston, CT; his sister in law, Barbara Toutant of Thompson; his two grandchildren, Charlie and Chase Toutant and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, the late Jeffrey Toutant; his brother Raymond Toutant; and his sister, Yolanda Toutant.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Guy’s family from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, August 15, 2011 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT. A gathering will begin at 9:00 am on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main St., N. Grosvenordale.
