North Grosvenordale, CT – Georgia Peters, 91, of Riverside Drive, died Thursday November 6, 2008, in South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, MA. She was the loving wife of the late George “Red” Peters. Born in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Annie (Malvetis) Adamopoulos.
Mrs. Peters worked for Putnam Manufacturing as a seamstress for 22 years. She was a communicant of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster, MA.
Georgia is survived by her son, John Peters and his wife Carole of Putnam, CT; her daughter, Carol Lane and her husband James of Scituate, MA; her sister, Theresa Webber of Portsmouth, NH; 5 grandchildren, Caitlin Lane, Sarah Lane O’Shea and her husband Seamus O’Shea, Christina Lane, Michael Peters, and Brian Peters; and her great-grandson Ainsley James O’Shea. She was the sister of the late Louis Adamopoulos.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Georgia’s family from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, November 10, 2008 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, CT. A gathering will begin at 9:30 am Tuesday November 11, 2008 in the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Tuesday November 11, 2008 in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, Webster, MA. Burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Webster, MA.
