So many good memories of your dad, stopping by the shop & getting some Getty gas (Pomfret General Repair), visiting Ho & Flo, your dad’s love of old engines, etc. Here’s sending you a hug from across the miles. I think I have hardly ever known a kinder, handier, more generous and gracious gentleman than George. George was so good to me and my family when we lived at Rectory School. Many were the times when George’s knack with cars, plumbing and all things mechanical literally saved us . We appreciated his love of trains and Tom so enjoyed talking with him about how the railroads functioned during the Civil War. George was one of the best and we have missed him since moving. I wish his family comfort in their memories of who George was and all he did for others. He was a good man . Blessings and God’s peace to you in this time of loss and remembrance and the celebration of a life well lived.
