North Grosvenordale – Gary A. Apley, 58, of Riverside Drive, died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Day Kimball Hospital. Born in Putnam, he was the son of Evelyn (Morgan) of Marathon, FL, and the late Stewart Apley.
Mr. Apley worked in the shipping department for the Kochek Company of Putnam. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Pomfret Rod and Gun Club.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Angela Szeredy of Grand Rapids, MI; his brothers, Mark Apley of Pomfret Center, Lorrian Apley of Thompson, Fred Apley of Chepachet, RI, and Neil Apley of Marathon, FL; his sister, Lisa Bianchi of Milford, NH; and his granddaughter, Juliana Szeredy. He was predeceased by his sister, the late Claire Apley.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Gary’s family from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Saturday February 2, 2013 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. For memorial guestbook visit www.GilmanAndValade.com.
