North Grosvenordale- Frank Nieminen, 57 of Riverside Drive died unexpectedly Thursday August 17, 2006 in Backus Hospital. He was the loving husband of Susan (Aucoin) Nieminen. Born in Putnam, he was the beloved son of the Evelyn (Travenick) Nieminen of North Grosvenordale and the late Reino Nieminen. He lived in North Grosvenordale for the last 10 years after spending 17 years in Florida.
He was a certified nurse’s assistant for St. Camillus Nursing Home in Whitinsville, MA. He was an active volunteer for the Pine Island (Florida) Little League Association and served on the East Thompson Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his beloved son Jacob Nieminen of Fort Meyers, FL.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday in St Joseph’s Cemetery, North Grosvenordale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana Farber Cancer Center, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115. Valade Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements.
