Woodstock Valley – Francis Yoskovich, 87, formerly of Rte. 198, died Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Westview Healthcare Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Steven and Barbara (Poulich) Yoskovich. He lived most of his life in Woodstock.
Mr. Yoskovich was a machinist for several area machine shops and was a WWII Navy Veteran. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He was an avid collector of glass bottles and antiques.
Francis is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Albrecht of Woodstock, Irene Hopko of Andover, CT, and Dorothy Ference of Southwick, MA, and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to a gathering at 9:30am Tuesday in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am in St. Philip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd., Ashford, CT. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Philip Cemetery.
