Grosvenordale – Florette O. (Coderre) Lavallee, 93, of Riverside Dr., died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Brookside Nursing Home in Webster, MA. She was the loving wife of the late Gerard Lavallee who died on August 27, 2014. Born in Thompson, she was the daughter of the late Ulderic and Adrienne (Audette) Coderre.
Mrs. Lavallee worked as a winder for Cluett Peabody and Company in North Grosvenordale, St. Joseph’s cafeteria, Duffy’s Catering, and Risom Furniture.
Mrs. Lavallee enjoyed going for long walks and traveling; and was a member of the AARP. She also loved her grandchildren deeply.
Florette is survived by two sons Dennis Lavallee and his wife Sherry of Putnam and Paul Lavallee and his wife Leslie of Thompson; two brothers John Coderre of Danielson and Normand Coderre of RI, and a sister Henriette Blanchette of N. Grosvenordale; two grandchildren Jeremy and Derek Lavallee; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard Lavallee; and two brothers Gerard Coderre and Robert Coderre.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Florette’s family on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
