
Florence A. Morin
1922 – 2011
Vernon –Florence (Arsenault) Morin, 88, of Mill Stream Drive, formerly of North Grosvenordale, CT died Friday, February 11, 2011 in Westview Healthcare Center. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Leona (Blanchette) Arsenault.
Mrs. Morin was raised in North Grosvenordale and worked for Matson Mills, Dazzle Carwash, and as a retail associate for Louis Dress Shop. She enjoyed sharp looking cars but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and socializing.
Florence is survived by her grandchildren, Todd Morin and his wife Diane of Woodstock, Chad Morin and his wife Donna of South Killingly; her great grandchildren, Brandon, Angela, Erica, Ashley, Hollis, Amanda, and Ben; her great great grandchildren, Chase, Adalise, Georgiana, and Isabelle; her daughter-in–law, Elaine Morin of East Winsor and her good friend, Sandra Chubbuck of South Killingly. She was the mother of the late Wayne G. Morin and Joan Purdy.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Florence’s family from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, Saturday, February 19, 2011in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main St., N. Grosvenordale. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery at a later date. I am truley sorry I didn’t meet Florence sooner,and only got to know her near the end of life’s journey. She was a pleasure to be around , and at times was a lot of fun.
