Danielson – Eugene F. LeClair, 84, of Maple Court, formerly of Boiling Springs, SC and Putnam, CT, died Friday morning at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Shirley (Skidmore) LeClair and the late Jeanne (Lariviere) LeClair. Born in Putnam, he was the son of the late Felix and Rose Alma (Martin) LeClair.
Eugene worked as a foreman and production supervisor at Prym’s in Dayville and Prym-DRITZ in Spartanburg, SC for over 46 years. He enjoyed bowling with friends and family, summer camping in RI, motorcycle riding, square dancing, and working in his yard. He was also a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club.
Eugene is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Shirley LeClair; his son Laurent M. LeClair and his wife Cyndi of Lyman, SC; his daughter Ann Marie McCard and her husband Joseph of Portland, CT; his granddaughter Dulcea Courant-Morgan and her wife Miranda of Medford, MA; two sisters, Rita Gendreau of N. Grosvenordale and Theresa Boutin of Putnam; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eugene’s family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam, CT.
