1926 – 2008                                                     

Clearwater, FL – Ethel G. Warren, 82, of Pineridge Drive, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 in Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, FL.  She was the loving wife of the late Floyd E. Warren, Sr.  Born in Pomfret, she was the daughter of the late Louis Mayo Jr. and Louisa (Austin) Mayo.  She lived in Shrewsbury, MA for over forty years before moving to Florida.

Mrs. Warren was a homemaker and enjoyed Genealogy.  She was a member of Austins of America, Austin Family of America and Grand Army of the Republic, Corp 11 of Worcester, MA.

Ethel is survived by her son, Floyd E. Warren Jr. and his wife Catherine of Shrewsbury, MA; three daughters, Sheila Milliken of Clearwater, FL, Sharon Obara and her husband David of Millbury, MA, and Sheryl Warren of Clearwater, FL; four brothers, George Mayo of Pomfret, Peter Mayo of Lineville, AL, Charles Mayo of Putnam, and David Mayo of Pomfret, CT; three sisters, Ida Madeiras of Dudley, MA, Marie Ramsdell of Putnam, CT, and Shirley Miracle of Florida; three grandsons, Daniel and James Obara, and Noel Milliken; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five brothers, the late Jesse Mayo, Leonard Mayo, Paul Mayo, Louis Mayo III, and John Mayo; and four sisters, the late Dora Backman, Eva Steele, Barbara Gullette, and Mary Jean Dennett.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ethel’s family from 9:00 to 10:00am, Thursday November 6, 2008 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam with a Funeral Service at 10:00 am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Pomfret CT.
