My thoughts and prayers to Emile’s family. It has been over 35 years since we left the Thompson area. I still treasure those fond memories of hanging out with my cousin Johnny and sometimes getting in trouble with Emile showing the two of us the right way.

Dear Breault family,
When I think of Emile, he’s telling a story or showing some of his collections, but always smiling. What an interesting man. He will be missed.
God bless.

He was his brother Richard and my Idle. l knew him well. Even than, he drove a tricked out Stubabaker lark, v-8 with that Hotspark plate. He at the time had a Ford coupe, 32 or so, olds powered. He once made a bow and arrow out of oak. After not seeing him since I was a kid, I stoped in to see him. What he had built, restored was unbelievable. He was a good guy, a craftsman that can not be replaced.

I have been a landowner on Bull Hill for about 40 years. I first met Emile 10 or 12 years ago when I purchased a piece of property adjacent to his cabin. He was there having a cigar when I knocked on the door and introduced myself. It wasn’t hard to form a friendship as he was such an easy going guy and was always willing to share a story. We sat many times in the cabin just talking about the land, work and family. I knew the last couple of years frustrated him not being able to do the things he loved outside because of his health, especially not being able to get to the cabin to have a cigar or feed the birds. But he didn’t complain. He always seemed genuinely grateful for his family and friends. My son and I visited with Emile for a couple of hours in November at the house and I’m glad we were able to share time together. Although we weren’t close personal friends, he was the type of person that made you feel that way.
