Providence, RI – Elvira (Greenleaf) Wilde, 87, of Randall Street, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, in Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Plymouth, NH, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Tina (Nutting) Greenleaf.
Mrs. Wilde was a homemaker. She enjoyed music, dancing and loved spending time with her family.
Elvira is survived by her daughter, Patricia Babbitt and her husband Wesley M. Babbitt of Lawrence, MA; her son, Robert Wilde and his wife Lori-Ann Wilde of N. Providence, RI; and her grandchildren, Wesley W. Babbitt, and Geoffrey Babbitt. She was predeceased by her sisters, Waltina Young and Lurleen Collins.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Elvira’s family from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Sunday August 7, 2011 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A gathering will begin at 10:00am on Monday August 8, 2011 at the funeral home, with her funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Munyan Cemetery.
