Woodstock –Elsie C. Olander, 91, died Monday, January 1, 2007, at home. Born in West New York, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Marie (Pallander) Weigele. She and her husband, the late Eric Olander, moved to Woodstock in 1960.
Mrs. Olander was an accomplished musician, who particularly enjoyed playing the piano. She attended Pace Business College and served on the Day Kimball Women’s Board. Elsie was a member of the First Congregational Church of Woodstock and its Women’s Club, as well as the League of Women Voters.
She leaves two loving children, David Olander of Fort Worth TX and Catherine Azzinaro of Woodstock CT; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 2pm Saturday, January 6, 2007 in the First Congregational Church of Woodstock, 543 Rt. 169, Woodstock. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
