Woodstock Valley— Elizabeth (Yoskovich) Albrecht, 96, formerly of Route 198, died Tuesday, May 06, 2008 in Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the loving wife of the late Herman Albrecht until his death in 1997. Born in Loydell, PA, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Barbara (Poulich) Yoskovich.
Mrs. Albrecht worked as a supervisor for ElectriMotive for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, baking, decorating wedding cakes and most importantly her family.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, John Albrecht and his wife Linda of Woodstock Valley; her daughters, Eleanor Condon and her husband John of Navasota TX, Barbara Bufano and her husband Tom of Orange Park FL, and Mildred Tucker and her husband Claude of Southbridge MA; her sisters, Irene Hopko of Andover CT, and Dorothy Ference of Southwick MA. Her tenacity and indomitable spirit have been passed along to 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great, great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Elizabeth’s family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday May 8, 2008 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A gathering will begin in the funeral home at 9:00 am Friday May 9, 2008 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Philip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd., Ashford CT. Burial will follow in St. Philip Cemetery, Rt. 44, Ashford, CT.
