1951 –2022
Pomfret Center – I was born in Annapolis, Maryland in 1951. My dad, Henry A. Burke, and my mom, Kathleen T. Marcella welcomed their first baby girl. I have two younger sisters, Pat and Robin. I was married on August 1, 1970, to Richard D. Morin. We then had Tim, Jill, and Laura who made up our family. Jill then had my two granddaughters, Kayla and Saige. Laura and Tom had my grandsons, Caleb, Jacob, and Noah and Tim gave us Chelsea who then completed our family with my great-grandson, Lucas. I also have many nieces and nephews whom I love.
I want to leave you with love and happiness and a few quotes I have come to live by:
“Give us clear vision, that we may know when to stand and what to stand for because unless we stand for something we shall fall for anything.” -Peter Marshall
“Be kind to one another.” Rev. Sylva P. LeCours
“Give the ones you love wings to fly, roots to come back to, and reasons to stay.” -Dalai Lama
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke
And last but not least- “You always know what is right and wrong. You make the choice.” – Me
Much love and kindness to you all. I love you and ask you to pray for me as I will pray for you.
Goodnight.

Betty was a wonderful person, with a smile and laughter that would permeate a room. She took great joy sending others happy wishes to make their days special. Always thinking of others. Full of life; full of joy; that is how I will remember her. My sincerest sympathy to her family.

I worked with and for Betty for many years. She was the best… she was a people’s person. I don’t know anyone who did not like or love her. Northeast Homemaker’s was her second home. She was always ready to help someone in need. I am so glad that our paths crossed and I will never forget her. I looked forward to my first Christmas card every year from my friend. Peace to Bet and her family.
