1924 – 2019
Thompson – Eleanor C. Pagé, 94, of Cournoyer Rd., died Friday morning, March 15, 2019, at home. She is the loving wife of over 68 years to the late Edgar J. Pagé. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Blanche (Breault) Cournoyer and was a graduate of Putnam High School.
On May 12, 1945, at Sacred Heart Church in Thompson, she was united in marriage to Edgar J. Pagé who died on August 29, 2013.
Mrs. Pagé enjoyed sewing and flower gardening. She was a member of the Woodstock Historical Society, Woodstock Garden Club, Putnam Home Economic Club and the Woodstock Theft Detection Society.
Eleanor is survived by her son, Marc R. Pagé of Norwich; her daughter, Denise Duchesney and her husband Doug of Thompson; seven grandchildren, Angela, Thomas, Katherine, Rebecca, Nicole, Jessica, and Amanda; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter the late Mary Jeanne Page, and her brother the late Edmund R. Cournoyer.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eleanor’s family from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, in the Gilman Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Church St., Putnam. A gathering will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Most Holy Trinity Church, Pomfret, CT.
