Eileen J. Kozlowski
1939 – 2009
North Grosvenordale, CT – Eileen J. Kozlowski, 70, of Main St, died Saturday, August 1, 2009, in an automobile accident. She was the loving wife of the late Francis R. Kozlowski, Sr. who died in 2000. Born in Putnam, Ct, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Juliette Blanchette.
Mrs. Kozlowski worked as a bartender for the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the Valley Springs Sportsman’s Club. She had also worked for Sanitary Dash and for the Joseph Blanchette Restaurant. Eileen enjoyed watching karaoke with her best friend Brenda and spending time with her grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her sons, Francis R. Kozlowski, Jr., and his wife Joanne of West Boylston, MA, and Joseph A. Kozlowski of North Grosvenordale; her daughter, Karen A. Kozlowski of North Grosvenordale; her sister, Lorraine Vasseur of Auburn, MA and her grandchildren, Jake Kozlowski, Ryan Kozlowski, and Kristin Dube.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eileen’s family from 5:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday August 6, 2009 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT. A gathering will begin at 9:00 am in the funeral home on Friday August 7, 2009, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main St., N. Grosvenordale. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
