
Edward A. Negip
1940-2010
Thompson, CT – Edward Alush Negip, 70, of 8 Hill Road, died Saturday May 8, 2010 in Worcester, MA. He was the loving husband of Beverly (Valade) Negip. Born in North Grosvenordale, CT, he was the son of the late Alush and Stella (Lenky) Negip.
Mr. Negip began working as an insurance salesman for Archambault Insurance Associates. He then became a partner in the Negip-Naum Insurance Agency for ten years before joining Commerce Insurance from where he retired in 2005. He was a past member of the Thompson Lions Club and the Putnam Elks Club. He was passionate about golf and enjoyed every aspect of the game. He also took great pleasure in working around his home and caring for his property, especially while on his John Deere tractor. But, time spent with his family was what Ed most treasured.
In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his son, David Negip and his wife Kate of Fort Myers, FL, his son-in-law, Charles LeVine, Jr. of Pomfret Center; his brother, Maurice Negip of Webster; three sisters, Helen Fontaine of Southbridge, MA, Stasia Buczynski of Eagle River, AK, Virginia Lavallee of Charlton, MA, many nieces and nephews; and, four grandchildren, Charles, Nathan, Katherine and Madeline. He was the father of the late Judith (Negip) LeVine (1969 – 2006) and the brother of the late Emile Negip, Theresa LeBoeuf, Doris Augustynski and Richard Negip.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Edward’s family on Wednesday May 12, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT 06255. A gathering will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday May 13, 2010 in the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church in N. Grosvenordale. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Thompson Fire Engine Company, Inc., 70 Chase Rd., Thompson, CT 06277 or to the Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group (TEEG) Food Pantry, PO Box 664, N. Grosvenordale, CT 06255.

Camy and I often remember the great vists we had to you in Connecticut and our special trip as part of our honeymoon. We still rememeber how you and Ed took us all the way down to see the Mystic Acquarium during that visit.
