Dorothy E. (Morin) Tercjak
1943– 2009

Putnam – Dorothy E. Tercjak, 66, of Mill St. died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in Day Kimball Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Richard R. Tercjak. They were married on September 15, 1962. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Elsid and Lillian (Beausoleil) Morin and the stepdaughter of Hester (Chase) Morin of Danielson.

Mrs. Tercjak owned and operated Dots Daycare for 35 years. She was an aerobics instructor for the Putnam Parks and Recreation Department and volunteered for Saint Mary Circle of Fun where she worked in the food booth with her husband for 37 years. She was on the planning committee for the Relay for Life and a member of the “Red Hatter’s.”

In addition to her step-mother, Dorothy is survived by her two sons, James and Thomas Tercjak of Putnam; her daughter, Cindy Ann Wells and her husband James of Kingston Springs, TN; her sister, Lucille Burton of Vancouver, WA; her step-brothers, Mark Chase, Benjamin Chase, and William Chase; and her three grandchildren, Zackery, Kelsey, and Brady Wells.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dorothy’s family from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, August 21, 2009 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A gathering will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 22, 2009 in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Richard R. Tercjak Scholarship Fund, c/o Putnam Bank, 251 Kennedy Drive, Putnam, CT 06260
