I am very sorry for the passing of David. He was my first scout leader in Thompson. After moving here from Oklahoma shortly after the passing of my father, I found direction thought Scouting. And have been very involved ever since. Two daughters later, that are now adults. I am still very involved with the running of Troop 66, the Jessie Hay Assoc., and Camp Waldron. All dedicated to Scouting in Thompson.
I often would think of Dave when working the Woodstock Fair, and looked forward to him stopping by the Lost Child Find booth, to chew the fat about old times. Oh and for him to remind me how he had got us this job.
Many of us will remember Dave through stories of scouting. As well his dedication to scouting that has been engraved on the walls of the Scout Hall, at Camp Waldron. In the memory of our past Scout Masters.
With all my sympathy
