Putnam – Daniel William Donovan, 49, of Battey St., died Thursday, April 10, 2008 unexpectedly at home. Born in Putnam, he was the son of the late Rudolph V. and Mary V. (Spielman) Donovan.
Mr. Donovan worked as an assembler for Nutmeg Container. He had also worked as a painter. He enjoyed woodworking and making crafts and loved summertime cookouts. He was an avid sports fan rooting for the UConn Huskies, the Red Sox, Celtics, and Green Bay Packers.
Daniel is survived by his two children Noah T. Donovan and Shea A. Donovan both of South Woodstock; three brothers, James Donovan of Tennessee, John Donovan of Florida and Kevin Donovan of Sarasota, Fl and two sisters, Kathleen Sanga of Cape Coral, Fl and Jane Donovan of Scottsdale, AZ. He was the brother of the late Ann Kelly.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Daniel’s family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 17, 2008 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A cookout in his memory will be held this summer at a time to be announced.
