Woodstock, CT- Cynthia (Monty) Tenerowicz, 81, of Dividend Rd, passed at home in the arms of her loving husband of 63 years, Rudolph Tenerowicz, on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of Bianca (Pazzini) Monty and Arthur Young, and stepdaughter to Joseph Monty.
Cynthia was a stay-at-home mother for many years and her proudest achievement was raising her family. She is survived by and will sadly be missed by her beloved husband Rudolph, her children, and grandchildren; Rudolph Tenerowicz Jr and his wife Kelly and their children Jette, Brittany, and John Patrick of Claremore, OK; Bruce Tenerowicz and his wife Hollie and their children Nicole, Brent, and Veronica of North Augusta, SC; Lori Purdon and her husband James and their children Colin, Paige, Michela, and Keely of Putnam, CT; Dineen Noren and her husband Glenn and daughter Janel of Woodstock, CT; two sisters Nina Burgess and her husband Duncan; Laurie Smith and her husband Will both of OK; and three great-grandchildren Liam, Ian, and baby Valentine; and several nieces and nephews.
Cynthia was the founder of High Springs Orchard in Woodstock. She took pride in her farm store and participated in several local farm markets. Hobbies included her Blue ribbon canned Spiced Peaches at the Woodstock Fair. Local car shows, drag races, and long rides with her husband. During their travels, she would collect unique-looking rocks to add to her flower gardens in remembrance of their travels. She was also a member of the N.E. Pinto Horse Assoc, The American Kennel Club, and Cat Fanciers Assoc.
Her eight prized Persian Cats; Cammi, Alfred, Oscar, Melvin, Julia, CiCi, Little Girl, and “MAYOR”, Winston will miss her dearly. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the exceptional care given to Cynthia by the staff at DaVita Dialysis and Hartford Health Care at Home.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Cynthia’s family from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the Gilman Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Church Street, Putnam CT. A gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021, in the Funeral Home, followed by Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church, 568 Pomfret Road, Pomfret, CT. Burial to follow New Notre Dame Cemetery on North Woodstock Rd (Rte 169) in Southbridge, MA.
