Craig Trombley
1969 – 2010
Woodstock – Craig Trombley, beloved son, grandson, and nephew, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 30, 2010 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare after a very brief illness. Craig was an avid horseman: riding, showing, and caring for horses since the age of 5, when he started riding his pony, Blueberry. Craig earned a living as a master farrier, taking care of a great many horses for owners throughout the northeast corner of Connecticut.
Craig will be greatly missed by Brianna Schnaidtacher, with whom he resided. His mother, Sandra Trombley of Florida, his father Richard Trombley, his grandmother Rae Williams of Woodstock, his Aunt Anita Williams of Woodstock, and his extended family at Trapalanda Stables.
Services will be private. Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Michael N. Comtois
Brianna, Rae, Anita and the Trombley Family,
Please accept my sincerest sympathies and condolences on the loss of Craig. I met Craig at Trapalanda a couple years ago and have spent many great moments with him working around the stables, and enjoyed watching him taking care of our horses farrier needs. Craig always had a smile on his face whenever I saw him. He will be deeply missed.
Rest in Peace my Friend.
Sadly missed,

There are no words to describe the great sadness felt over the loss of our friend Craig. Even though we’ve only known him a short two years, Craig became a great friend and we are truly grateful to have had him in our lives. His expertise in his craft, his great care and attention to detail when working with the horses made him invaluable. He was a special person and friend and we will miss him terribly. Rest in Peace…
Our deepest sympathies to Brianna, Sandra, Rae and Anita.
Love, Kathy, Trinity, Buckley and Shamous…….

I am very upset to hear about Craig’s passing. Craig and I attended Woodstock Academy (High School) together and graduated in 88′.Craig and I were good friends, but did not stay in touch after high school. I will always remember hanging out at breaks during our classes in our group. I knew that he had a special place in his heart for horses. I would help him with his daily barn chores where he lived off of Rocky Hill Road. His aunt and grandmother may remember me as a mutual friend of Craigs and mine (Kimberly Stone)who boarded her horse at Trapalanda. I lived down the street on another horse farm from Craig so we got together often. When I told my Mom of his passing today she said she could still remember the smile on his face as he would come over my house and ride my three wheeler motorcycle . I am truely sorry for your loss and I only wish I had taken the time to reach out to an old friend. Soo long Craig and may you rest in peace.
