
Crystal, ME – Clara Emma Fortin, 91 of Crystal Road formerly of Church St, Thompson, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 in Houlton Regional Hospital in Houlton, ME. She was the wife of the late Normand J. Fortin
Born in Mechanicsville, CT, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma (Rivers) Rasicot. She lived in Thompson before moving to Maine 3 years ago.
Mrs. Fortin worked as a spinner for the former Putnam Woolen Mill and for Hale Manufacturing. She enjoyed listening to polka music.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Fortin Sr. and his wife Joan of Central Village; 2 daughters, Claire Rock and her husband Delphis of Island Falls, ME, and, Pauline St. Cyr and her husband Carl of Putnam, a half-sister, Theresa Rasicot Shade of West Virginia; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church, 47 W. Thompson Road, Thompson, followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Putnam. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Gilman Funeral Home is entrusted with her arrangements.
