Cataldo E.Tuminelli, of Woodstock,CT, known to many as “Ky”, passed away at home on May 28, 2021 with his family by his side. Ky was born in Pittston, PA to the late Pauline Rizzo and Giuseppe Tuminelli on November 24, 1927. He married Grace Guarnieri on April 11, 1953.
After graduating from Pittston High School, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Ky went on to work for Bright’s Construction Company where he was a bricklayer until he retired. He then became a bricklayer instructor at Job Core. After retiring from there, he and his wife Grace moved to Woodstock, CT where he lived for 19 years.
Ky is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Mary, Theresa, Sarah, Sue and Esther.
He is survived by his wife Grace of 68 years; his son, Joseph Tuminelli of Woodstock, CT; his daughter, Monica Kingeter and her husband David of Woodstock; his grandchildren, Joby Tuminelli of Hughestown, PA, Natalie MacVarish and her husband John of Wellesley, MA, Blake Kingeter and his fiancé Haley McWaters of Boxborough MA; his great grandchildren, Kolby Tuminelli, Julia and John MacVarish; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ky’s family on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St, Putnam, CT. A gathering will begin on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon in Most Holy Trinity Church, 568 Pomfret Street, Pomfret, CT.
