Putnam – Carole (Ormerod) Brown, 77, of Laconia Ave, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT, and was the beloved wife of the late Scott S. Brown (02/14/1955 – 02/22/2021). Born in Providence, RI, she was one of five children to the late Adolf Louis Ormerod and Edith Yvonne (Cayer) Ormerod.
Carole worked in the textile and manufacturing industry during her young life and as a tax consultant in her later years. She took great pride in her work ethic, passing on the importance of a job well done to her children. A lady who carried herself with poise and grace, Carole was a kind and generous woman who freely gave her time and talents to all. She truthfully had a servant’s heart, bringing her joy to help others.
With a deep love for God and family, Carole lives on through her sons, John Brown of Putnam and Mark Brown of Thompson; her daughters, Pamela (Brown) Frechette of Brooklyn and Ann Centore of Danielson; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Wednesday, January 5, 2021, we invite family and friends to visit Carole’s family at the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St, Putnam, CT., from 5-7 PM. Please make any Memorial Donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. For a memorial guestbook, visit www.GilmanAndVilade.com.

Pam & Family, although I only met your mom for a short visit she seemed extremely down to earth and a very huge heart. I have to say very very shocked at her age I would have seriously taking her for at least 5 to 7 years younger. She had a beautiful face and her complexion was impeccable. May she find peace with your dad. With sincere sympathy , Deb – Paul’s Mom. XXOO
