Putnam – Bruce J. Rush, 57, of Providence Pike, died Monday morning, December 26, 2022, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Putnam, he was the son of David E. Rush and his wife Judith of Jacksonville, FL and the late Shirley T. (Theriaque) Lajoie and her late husband Ward Lajoie.
Mr. Rush worked as a self-employed home improvement contractor.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. But, above all he treasured the quality time that he spend with his family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Sandra Rush and her companion, Steven Fontaine; his son, David Rush; his two granddaughters, Annalissa Krasnecky and Gianna Fontaine all of Webster; the love of his life, Cherrie Courtemanche of Webster; Cherrie’s parents, Leo and Gloria Courtemanche of Dudley; his siblings, Tammy Garnier of Killingly, Robert Nina Rush of Brooklyn, Mark and Robin Lajoie of Putnam, Rhonda Lajoie of Willimantic, Gary Williams of Tampa, FL, Karen Williams-Warring of St. Augustine, FL, Michelle Williams-Newsom of Hilliard, FL, and Windy Rush-Orochena of St. Johns, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Debra Lajoie and his brother, Joel Williams.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bruce’s family from 10:30AM to 12:30PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023, in the Gilman Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Church St., Putnam, CT 06260. Thank you Lord for the short time You gave all of us beautiful memories of Bruce, He is out of pain & that is all that matters. All of us will keep him in our hearts & thoughts forever. Please Lord watch over his daughter & granddaughters. We will pray for them. Also we send prayers & condolences to his son,brothers, sisters & friends.
