Putnam-Brenda J. Heath, age 59, died Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Day Kimball Hospital, after a short two-week battle with COVID.
Born in Putnam, Brenda was the daughter of the late Harvey E. and Alma “Elsie” (Lannaville) Bennett, and also the late Allard J. “Red” Heath. She was educated in the Putnam School System and lived in Putnam all her life. She retired several years ago, having worked at Wal-Mart in Putnam for a number of years.
She is survived by her God-Daughter, Erin L. Muscato of Thompson, whom she loved like she was her own; her sisters, Joyce Cote and her companion, Hugh McLaughlin of Putnam; Heidi Bennett and her companion, Wayne Moore of Putnam; her brothers, Steven Heath and his wife Rose of Thompson, Jamie Heath and his wife Debra of Putnam, Scott Bennett and his wife Misty of Putnam; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Eugene “Huey” Heath, Allard J. “Tyke” Heath and Curt D. Heath.
Brenda was a very social person, who loved auto racing, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She enjoyed crafts, on-line shopping, Chinese food, country music, Elvis and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed sitting outside and feeding the squirrels, many of which she could feed by hand. Brenda was also a volunteer at Saint Mary’s Circle of Fun.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 15th at 10:00 am in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Providence Street, Putnam. She will be laid to rest with her parents and brother. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Gilman Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Church Street, Putnam. The family requests that masks be worn in accordance with COVID guidelines.
