Putnam – Blanche “Terry” (Baribeault) Michael, 80, of Sabin St., passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Day Kimball Hospital. She was the wife of the late Nekolas Michael for 39 years before he passed away in 2017. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late John and Ella (Ethier) Baribeault.
Mrs. Michael worked as a laundry supervisor for Matulaitis Nursing Home. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and NASCAR. She was a fan of Tiger Woods. Blanche liked to spend her time knitting, crocheting and watching CNN and MSNBC. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as they meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren. She took special care of her husband while he was sick. She helped everyone; she was a giver, not a taker.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Denise Shippee and her husband Thomas with whom she lived in Putnam; and her son, Mark Blackmer and his wife Adriana of Pasadena, MD; her stepchildren, Kevin Michael and his wife Janet of Dudley, MA, Donna Michael of MA and Maryanne Regimbal, of MA; her sisters, Claire Elliott of Providence, RI, Joan Mazzaia of FL, Julie Tague of FL; her grandchildren, Megan & Tyler Shippee with whom she lived, and Melissa, Brian, Michael, Jessica, Brady and John Blackmer. She was predeceased by her stepdaughter Tina Perrin and her siblings Alice Spinner, Evilyn Baribeault, Barbara Gagne, Lorrain Baribeault, Linda Baribeault, Raymond Baribeault and Earnest Baribeault.
