
Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late George Cartier and Louise (Beausoleil) Cartier. She lived most of her life in Putnam.
Mrs. Joyal worked as a doubler at Belding Hemingway Co. for 25 years until she retired in 1960. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was a member of Ste. Anne Society.
She is survived by a nephew, Robert Poplawski of Webster, a great niece, Renee Poplawski, a great nephew, Scott Poplawski of Webster and two great great nieces, Tara Johnson of Southbridge and Chelsea Johnson of Dayville. She was predeceased by a son, Gerard Joyal and a niece Louise Poplawski.
A funeral will be held 9:00am Saturday from the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday 9:00 to 9:30am
