1944 – 2017
Putnam – Anne M. (Benoit) Deotte, 73, of Sabin St., passed away peacefully on Monday June 5, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous four year battle with bile duct cancer. She was the loving wife of the late Armand Deotte, Jr. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Philibert and Alice (Auger) Benoit. Anne was a graduate of Putnam High School.
Mrs. Deotte worked for many years at Day Kimball Hospital in the House Keeping Department.
She enjoyed going to the beach, cheering on the UConn women’s basketball team, going out with family and friends for day trips shopping and dining, but above all she cherished the quality time that she spent with her friends and grandchildren.
Anne is survived by two sons Kenneth P. Deotte of Norwich and Michael J. Deotte and his husband Jonathan Wyse of Broad Brook; a daughter Susan A. Caron and her husband Robert of Killingly; and six grandchildren Dylan, Alyssa, Nicholas, Christopher, Noah, and Colton. She was predeceased by a sister Claire Benoit.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Anne’s family from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday June 8, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St, Putnam, CT, meeting directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
