Anita Menard
1932-2022
Thompson – Anita Menard, 90, of Gawron Rd passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, after a short illness. She was the loving wife of the late Robert F. Menard. Anita was born in Putnam, Connecticut and was the daughter of the late Paul and Leontine (Croteau) Compagna.
Anita retired from Guardian Glass in 1997 after more than 20 years of employment. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and crafting.
Anita is survived by her daughters, Diane Calabrese of Harwinton, Connecticut and Donna Gaudreau of Thompson, Connecticut; her brother, Joseph Gerard Compagna and his wife, Joan, of Wickes, Arkansas; and grandsons, William, and Christopher Gaudreau. Anita is also survived by several great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Comtois.
Funeral arrangements for Anita have been entrusted to Gilman and Valade Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial for Anita will take place in the spring at St. Mary Cemetery in Putnam, Connecticut. For memorial guestbook please visit www.GilmanAndValade.com.
