Andrew Tomecko
1964 – 2023
Putnam – Andrew Tomecko, 58, of Putnam, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1964, in Windham County to his mother Marie Tomecko.
Andrew was a dedicated employee at the Pomfret School for over 25 years. Andrew loved his God Jehovah, and his life was dedicated to faithfully carrying out Christ Jesus’ commission to preach the good news of God’s Kingdom. He was a loyal member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Plainfield. He was a faithful, devoted husband who loved his wife Diane with all his heart and loyally stood by her side. He was a loving, loyal son to his mother Marie and faithfully made sure she was well cared for. Andrew was loved and appreciated by many people because he was a peacemaker, loving and helpful to everyone. He is deeply missed by those who loved him. Andrew graduated from Windham Tech and enjoyed working with electronics and mechanics.
Andrew leaves behind his beloved wife Diane Tomecko and her sister Debra Labelle, as well as his beloved mother Marie, his sister Pam Walsh, and his three daughters Robin, Sam and Amanda. Andrew cherished the Bible’s hope of the future resurrection under God’s Kingdom Rule where sin and death will be completely done away with (1 Corinthians 15:26; Psalms 37:11, 29; Revelation 21:3-4 – See JW.ORG).
Funeral arrangements were cared for by the Gilman Funeral Home in Putnam. A Memorial service for him will be given in the near future at the Plainfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Diane & family,
So sad to hear about Andrew. I know he will be missed by many as
I will be. He was always there when you needed him, and it was so
loving to open the door to see a Bismark waiting for us unexpectedly.
He will rest and then be back to make the earth a Paradise.
We love you Diane.

We did not know Andrew for very long. A couple a years was all. It does not matter because he makes such an impact in anyone’s life he’s a part of. Generous and kind, loving and fun. A spiritual brother who put the needs of others as priority! We still mention him on occasion even though we moved away in 2013. What a wonderful person. While he sleeps we get to remember him and look forward to seeing him very soon! Much love to his family and especially Diane! We send you our love
