
1945 – 2018
Amie passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018, from leukemia. She is sadly missed by her husband Charlie, son Shawn and wife Kayla, daughter Clare, grandson Miles, relatives and dear friends.
From a young age in Greendale, MA, Amie’s passion was art and helping others. Amie received a Master’s Degree in Art Education. She settled in Mystic, then Pomfret, CT, teaching art at PCS for 25 years.
Her intuitive approach to teaching encompassed self expression, creative thinking, social issues, non-violence, and global responsibility. Amie found solace in painting, outdoors adventures, family, meditation and the pursuit of spirituality.
A public Celebration of Amie’s Life is scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 1-3pm, at the Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Pomfret. 218 Day Rd., Pomfret Center, CT 06259.

I was the Art teacher at Putnam High,,,,I knew Amie throughout my career through displaying t art shows together ,being members of an art association for Northeast Ct art teachers and more. It seems our paths were always crossing .. Amie was a delight .I always looked forward to connecting with her, She was always so energetic & dedicated to her art ,& students. I always enjoyed working with her & looked forward to our laughter & fun .times. She will be missed
