
Thompson, CT- Alice B. “Peach” Bannister, 72, of Chase Road died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in Day Kimball Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Edwin Bannister for 56 years.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late William and Exilda (Ducharme) Talbot. She lived in Thompson since1988.
Mrs. Bannister was a luncheon chef in the executive dinning room of Commerce Insurance Company Webster before retiring. She had also worked as a waitress for the Castle Restaurant in Leicester, MA. She loved to cook, sew and crochet and enjoyed attending yard sales.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Wade Bannister of Thompson, CT, Carol Freeman of Sutton, MA, and Cathy Dykstra of Putnam, CT; 3 brothers, Edward Talbot of Florida, William Talbot of Worcester, and Arthur Talbot of Anaheim, CA, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 7:30pm Monday January 16 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. Burial will be private.
