My first real experience of spending time with Aldo was when he came to visit me in the hospital after I had injured my arm in a bizarre accident. I remembered how kind he was then and how it helped us develop a pleasant friendship. It seems surreal that I am leaving my condolence as I sit remembering Aldo as I recover from shoulder surgery.
I would like to thank him for his dedication to the process of recovery and his passion for helping others and how beautiful I felt that quality was about him. He was a pleasure to see and always greeted me with a hug and kiss. I want to thank him for sharing his family with me, especially Bekah, but most importantly, Lily. Thank you for being you and for being so unbelievably impactful on the lives of so many. May God’s blessing keep you always.

I am so absolutely stunned and bereft to hear of Aldo’s death. I don’t think I can make it down from Boston for the memorial but my heart already left me the minute I heard and started walking there without me because it’s inconceivable that it not be able to demonstrate, echo, amplify how loved he is.

Aldo was an amazing person and friend . Anytime he came to my store to check up on things he always made time to ask me how i was doing. If i was having a bad day he would go out of his way to cheer me up and tell me to stay positive. He had such a way with words and letting me know everything would be ok.He touched myself and my sons life. He knew how much liam loved spiders so when him and family went on a trip he got liam a keychain with a real spider in it. Liam still has it on his night stand!! We will miss you lots and you and your family will always have a place in our hearts and thoughts!!! Love and prayers

Condolence from Aunt Christie on September 20th, 2019 11:26 pm

Because you, my honorary Niece Bekah, and your beloved family loved him, I loved him though we never personally met. Through pain, struggle and torment his Soul was forged to gentleness, unconditional love and Spiritual understanding. He lived and shared his Light! His work here has finished, but he is still helping to heal those who have crossed over bearing the confusion and torments of addiction. May you and all of his loved ones remember that Love is the strongest force in the universe and Heavens and keeps you connected to him for eternity. May his Soul be Blessed!

Condolence from Sabrina Bonet on September 21st, 2019 3:07 pm

Aldo was one of my first real friends in new London. I was out there for maybe 3 weeks when I met him. He was in a sober house and I was homeless, looking for a new way to live and a safe clean life. His stories, his sense of humor, and laugh always kept me wanting to be around him and to live the life he was living. Aldo always knew what to say and when not to say anything. He was such an amazing human being. This world was a better place because He was in it. Bekah and kids and family there aren’t any words to say to ease the pain of such a significant loss. I’m so sorry. SIP ALDO
