Please keep those, and your love for Alan in your hearts forever. He was a very devoted husband and dad, and loved watching Amy and Joe become very mature, and accomplished adults. His wife Joanne, was his soul mate, and I would hear about their many trips to the beach, Red Sox, and PEI. May he rest in peace now.

Alan was was larger than life. He always projected positive energy with that huge smile and endless witt and charm. He was a true freind to me and a mentor to my kids Sophie and Dell. My heart goes out to Joanne, Joe, Amy, Joanne and Mona as well as countless others. Thank you for sharing him. I will always miss Alan. He truly made a significant impact on who I am and for that I will be forever grateful. I love you Alan.

Joanne, Joe, and Amy my heart goes out to you for your loss. I will miss Alan’s funny stories about his trips to Boston and his run in with Bobo at Federal Hill. I will miss his wittiness and his jolly laugh. Alan had a way of listening to people no matter how upset they may have been. He was able to make a conscious decision which fixed that person’s issue, or explained why it wasn’t possible at that time. He was a mentor, he was a father figure and he was a friend. I am very thankful to say that I worked for Alan for many years and I will cherish those memories forever. You and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

I worked with Alan at Frito-Lay and really enjoyed getting to know him and hearing his stories about his previous careers as a Policeman and a teacher (if memory serves me correct, he worked summers with us while he was teaching before he joined us f/t). I was lucky enough to catch up with him via email a few years ago and was happy to hear about how well he was doing and how proud he was of his family. My deepest sympathy to Joanne and his family.

Alan was a dedicated man I’m everything he did. I recall him checking out our house on Genevieve St late at night, knowing that my father was away. That’s how thoughtful and conscientious a person that he was. I know that this comes very late, but I still do think of him from time to time. It’s the mark of a great person when you barely knew him, yet still remember who he was.
