East Woodstock – Pauline (Babon) Edwards, 80, of Prospect St., died Saturday, December 31, 2011. She was the loving wife of 42 years to Francis Howard Edwards. Born in Middletown, CT, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Babon) Jones.

Mrs. Edwards worked at the American Optical for 22 years, and then as a housekeeper for St. Stephens Church in Quinebaug. She also owned and operated the Hill Top Ceramics since 1985. She enjoyed teaching and making ceramics.

In addition to her husband, Pauline is survived by her sons, Robin Wonoski of NC, Roy Wonoski of Webster, MA; her daughter, Laurie Edwards of Oxford, MA; her step-sons, Dennis Edwards of Groton, CT, and Wayne Edwards of Putnam; and step daughter Sherry Engh and her husband Peter of E. Woodstock; her brothers, John Jones of Quinebaug, and Henry Jones and his wife Sandy of Dudley; her sister, Barbara Godfrey of Monson, MA; her grandchildren, Jason, Heidi, Joshua, Jennifer, Jotham, Kayla, and Joshua; five great grandchildren; and many special friends. She is predeceased by her step-sons, the late Walter Edwards and Dale Edwards.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pauline’s family for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Saint Stephens Church in Quinebaug, CT. Burial will follow in East Woodstock Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St, East Hartford, CT 06108.     My thoughts and prayers to all the family. She was an amazing person and she definately inspired me to do all my housework on Saturdays and how to make the best pot roast ever. She lives with the Lord now but we all have wonderful memories of her.

    You were always my my favorite Aunt , I didnt get to see you to often as i liked but when i did it was always a lot of fun. I always enjoyed your trips to Fla with my mom.
