Stella E. Feige

North GrosvenordaleStella (Wojick) Feige, 92, formally of Pineview Court, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Webster Manor.  She was the loving wife of the late Richard S. Feige who predeceased her in 1995.  Born in Millville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Picik) Wojick. 

Mrs. Feige was a 1936 graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School.  She worked as a secretary for Colts Plastics and Cluett Peabody retiring at the age of 65.  She always found immense pleasure in spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed cooking and baking and donated her time at Saint Joseph Parish. 

Stella is survived by her sons Richard Feige of Decatur, GA, and Robert Feige of MA; her daughter Janice Dahl of North Grosvenordale; her brother Frederick Wojick of Brooklyn, CT; her sister Mary LeBeouf; her grandchildren, Christopher Feige, Jeffrey Dahl, and Deana Pajak; her great-grandchildren, Carson Pajak, Avery Pajak, Nicholas Dahl, and Olivia Dahl.

Putnam – Doris L. (Larose) LaBonte, 86, of Thurber Road, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Matulaitis Nursing Home.  She was the loving wife of the late Raymond LaBonte.  Born in North Grosvenordale, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Emma (Dutremble) Larose. 

Mrs. LaBonte worked as a machinist for Cluette Peabody, Belding Hemminway, and Crabtree & Evelyn.  She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

She enjoyed reading her Danielle Steel novels and doing her Search A Word.  She liked  EWTN with the Masses and Divine Mercy in the afternoon.  She loved to read and play with her great grandchildren.  They truly were her sunshine. 

Doris is survived by her son, Gerald LaBonte and his wife Diane of Richmond, VA; her daughter, Constance Olmstead and her husband Paul of Putnam; her sister, Theresa Lajoie of North Grosvenordale; her grandchildren, Mary, Melissa, Lisa, Matthew, and Lauren; and her great grandchildren, Olivia and Jordan. 

She was predeceased by her sister, Beatrice Larose; and her grandchildren, Christy and Raymond Olmstead.

Putnam – Jeanne (Lizotte) Morrell, 92, formerly of Myers Street, died Saturday June 25, 2011 in Westview Healthcare Center. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Maria (Robillard) Lizotte.

Mrs. Morrell worked as a clerk for several drug stores in the Putnam area.

Jeanne is survived by her sisters, Annette Polanski of Dayville and Pauline Cotnoir of Delaware; and her friend and caregiver, Donna Casko of Putnam. She was predeceased by a brother, Gerard Lizotte and two sisters, Lorena Johnson and Lucille Casko.

Isabelle Anna Bellisario

Isabelle Anna Bellisario, affectionately known as “Miss Izzy,” 90, passed away June 17, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Atlantic Beach, FL. Born in Packerville, CT on August 15, 1920, she graduated from Plainfield High School, Plainfield, CT, in 1938 and was married in 1941.  She lived most of her life in Connecticut and traveled often on cruises and trips with friends and family. 

Her first love was her family and friends who will always remember her for her unconditional love and the way she made each person in her life feel special through her kindness and compassion, deep and enduring strength, and abiding grace.

Throughout her life, she was active in the community, healthcare, the church, school and other activities. She also volunteered for many civic organizations including the Girl Scouts of America, the Red Cross, and the Republican Club of the Beaches.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Elizabeth Bartholic, three brothers, Leroy, William and James Bartholic and her husband, Henry Bellisario.

She is survived by numerous friends and her six children: Toni (Dudley) Van Orman, Joseph (Diane) Bellisario, Sharon Fisher, Judy (Gary) Courtemanche, Patrick (Karis) Bellisario and Michael (Eileen) Bellisario; many nieces and nephews, 20 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday June 23, 2011 in St Paul’s Catholic Church at 212 5th Street North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

N. Grosvenordale – Mrs. Gabrielle (Ross) Regis, 86, formerly of Buckley Hill Road died Saturday June 18, 2011 in Webster Manor. Born in Ste. Clotilde de Horton P.Q. Canada, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Eva (Biron) Ross.

Mrs. Regis moved to Connecticut in 1949. She worked for American Optical and also as a leather-worker for Risom Manufacturing. She was a member of The Ladies of St. Anne and volunteered at St. Mary Perpetual Adoration Chapel. She was an active member of St. Joseph’s parish.

Gabrielle is survived by two sons, Raymond Regis and his wife Jacqueline of Webster MA, and Guy Regis and his wife Charlene of Thompson; her daughter, Beverly Converse and her husband Roy of Putnam; three sisters, Sr. Therese Ross of PSA of Belgium, Cecile Gingras of Montreal, P.Q. Canada, and Clotilde Gregoire of Granby P.Q. Canada; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her brothers, the late Paul Ross, Jean Louis Ross, and Andre Ross.

Danielson – David V. S. Burton, 36, of Wauregan Rd, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 16, 2011 at his home. He was the loving fiancé of Mary E. Olmstead. Born in Vero Beach, FL, he was the son of the late Ray B. Burton Jr. and the late Marlin (Sutton) Clark.

Mr. Burton was a student preparing for his real estate license. He had also attended Branford Hall University. He was a member of the American Pool Association. He loved sports, golf, and was an avid Yankee’s Fan.

Besides his fiancé, David was survived by his sons, Jordan Xavier Burton at home, and Kyle Sager of Taftville, CT; his daughter, Olivia Olmstead at home; his brother, Ray B. Burton III and his wife Jennifer, of Greensboro, NC, his nephew, Sawyer Burton of Greensboro, NC and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Bailey is survived by her brother, Robert; her sister, Reaghan; her maternal grandparents, Terry L’Heureux and Al Boulais of Colchester, CT, and Robert and Nina L’Heureux of Yaphank, NY; her paternal grandparents, Don and Debbie McLaughlin of Windsor, CT; maternal great grandparents, Janet Demers of Dayville, Robert L’Heureux, I and his wife Elaine of Southbridge, MA and Alfred and Jean Moccio of St. Cloud, FL; and her uncle, Robert L’Heureux III.

Sr. Alice Carrow-DHS

Sr. Alice Carrow, DHS, 83, a member of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit died on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Holy Spirit Health Care Center where she has been in residence since 2003.  

Sr. Alice was born on March 14, 1928 in Tupper Lake, NY, the daughter of the late Adelard and Bertha (LaRose) Carrow.  In 1950, she entered religious life and made her religious profession on August 18, 1953 at the Provincial House in Putnam, CT.  She was then known as Sr. Elizabeth Adelard. 

A graduate of Diocesan Sisters’ College, Sr. Alice earned a B.A. in Education.  Following which she taught in elementary and Junior High schools in Waterbury, Jewett City, Moosup,  and Plainville—all in Connecticut as well as in Burlington, Vt. and Tupper Lake, NY.  In 1995 she retired from teaching and did Pastoral work at St. Alphonsus Parish, Tupper Lake, NY.  Until her retirement at Holy Spirit Provincial House in Putnam, CT in 2003. 

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Eileen Carrow, of Tupper Lake and several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. 

Calling hours at the Provincial House chapel will be on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:15 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Provincial House chapel in Putnam, CT, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Putnam, Ct.

Putnam– Beatrice C. (Gauvin) Leo, 92 of Mechanics St., died Sunday June 12, 2011 in Day Kimball Hospital. She was the loving wife of the Late Samuel J. Leo, Sr. Born in Plainfield, CT, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Virginie (Bonin) Gauvin.

Mrs. Leo was an order picker for the former Sanitary Dash Company. She had also worked for American Optical. She enjoyed bingo and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Samuel J. Leo, Jr. and his wife Kim, and Debra A. Leo, all of Putnam; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son David A. Bibeau, a sister and two brothers.

Marguerite Liard

1918 – 2011 

Lawton, OK Marguerite (McLaughlin), 92, died Monday, June 6, 2011.  She was the loving wife of the late Theodore J. Liard, Jr.  Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Bridget McLaughlin. 

Mrs. Liard earned a Bachelor of Education Degree from the Rhode Island College of Education (now RIC) in 1939 and a master’s in 1959.  Her career as a mathematics teacher began in Warwick, RI from 1942-1947.  After a move to Maryland in 1950, she picked up her teaching career in the 1960’s serving at Regina, Surattsville, and DuVal High Schools.  She was a recipient of the rotary club “Outstanding Teacher Award” and served as the math department head several times.  She retired from the Prince George’s County School System in Maryland in 1980 and moved to Lawton, OK in 2002 after the death of her husband.  She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. 

Marguerite is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Pellenbarg and her husband Robert of South Palm Springs, CA, and Denise Flusche and her husband Mark of Lawton, OK; her grandchildren, Eric Pellenbarg and his wife Sarah of Tampa, FL, Christina Pellenbarg and her fiancé, Jake Robbins of Berlin, MD, Brian Flusche and his wife Amy Hein of Bowie, MD, Daniel Flusche of Dallas, TZ, and Stephen Flusche of Edmond, OK; her great grandchildren, Lucy, Miles, and Alice Pellenbarg, Karla Bonilla, Amber Robbins, and William Flusche; her niece, Marilyn Hennessey, and her nephew, Michael McLaughlin, III.  She was preceded in death by her brother, M. Joseph McLaughlin, II; her sister Helen Leach; and her niece, Pamela Donnelly. 

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Lawton, OK with the Rev. Philip Seeton officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service  at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in St. Mary Cemetery, Putnam, CT.  Gilman Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangments.
