Neal F. Williams

Neal F. Williams, 77, of Genevieve St., died Thursday June 4, 2009 at home. He was the loving husband of the Barbara M. (Mathsen) Williams. Born in Nyack, NY, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Gladys (Housman) Williams.

Mr. Williams was a graduate of Nyack High School and Long Island Agricultural and Technical School. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Air Force. He then worked as a packaging designer and salesman for Robertson Paper Box and Rand Whitney. He also worked as a night watchman for Sealy Brown Village. He was a volunteer firefighter in New York, Virginia and Connecticut. He served as a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts and an Indian Guide leader. He enjoyed collected stamps and coins. He was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In addition to his wife, Neal is survived by his sons, Charles A. Williams of Putnam, Richard F. Williams, of Norwich, Michael J. Williams and his wife Amy of Putnam, Peter J. Williams and his wife Jennifer of Wauregan, Steven G. Williams and his wife Gloria of Putnam and Christopher M. Williams and his wife Diana of Danielson; his daughters, Annemarie A. Cutler and her husband Russ of East Putnam, and Kathleen P. Williams of Putnam; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service for Neal at 3:00pm on Saturday June 13, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11 Hill Road, Thompson, CT. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery, Blauvelt, NY. Memorial Donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11 Hill Rd. Thompson, CT 06277. Arrangement entrusted to the Gilman Funeral Home.
